Belknap Landscape Engages Area Youth in Earth Week Projects…


Belknap Landscape Company (BLC) will be conducting three separate community service projects during Earth Week in conjunction with PLANET Day Of Service. PLANET is the Professional Landcare Network, an international association serving landcare companies and landscape design-build professionals. By participating in PLANET Day of Service, BLC and industry professionals throughout the nation will unite to demonstrate environmental stewardship by giving back to their communities. More info at: http://planetdayofservice.org/home/index.php  Belknap Landscape is the only New Hampshire company registered for this nationwide effort.

In summary:  

BLC will be contributing a sky crane and operator for the Squam Lakes Association construction of the new Youth Activity Barn - a post & beam structure. This will occur in Holderness on Tuesday April 20th starting at 9AM 
BLC will be providing tools, equipment, materials and guidance for Laconia High School students use in dressing up 3 flowerbeds at the entrance to the campus from 7:30AM to 9AM Earth Day, April 22 in Laconia, NH 


Belknap Landscape, with the assistance of the Gilford High School Environmental Club student members, will be will be cultivating the root system and then planting, right after school on Earth Dayan American Elm dubbed the "Liberty Tree" at the Gilford Fire Station.
